Kimpton Hotel Allegro, Chicago

The downtown hotel offers a Gatsby-like vibe

We have been big fans of upscale hotel brand Kimpton at Ladybird of Leisure since our visit to Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia several years go (see our review here), and so when we visit a city with one or more properties we always take a look at what they offering.

Kimpton Hotel Allegro is located right in the middle of Chicago’s theatre district, the hotel is also just off the city’s Magnificent Mile, a section of Michigan Avenue that is home to upscale shopping and restaurants. It is also within walking distance of the city’s Millennium Park and the famed At Institute of Chicago making it perfect for out of town visitors who want to be in the thick of it and and locals who want a mini staycation.

The rooms are retro and comfortable with an Art Deco style that lesson a very upscale ambience. The luxury cruise ship-inspired Queen Deluxe and the stylish Double Double Deluxe make a stay all the more luxurious.
