The "Sport of Kings" returns to Colorado with a delightful winter twist

First thought to have been played around the 6th century BC in Persia, the polo has a long and storied history. Today it is played professionally in 16 countries and has been an Olympic event.

The World Snow Polo Championship, as the name suggests, is a little different to the more traditional version of the game as it is played on a snow covered field and, in this case, in the shadow of the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains.

The annual event is hosted by St. Regis and is played at the Aspen Valley Polo Club.

And in true St. Regis style, there will be a VIP tent where those inside will be treated to signature St. Regis Aspen Resort rituals including afternoon tea and the iconic St. Regis Bloody Mary cocktail.

Outside the VIP tent, the tournament can be enjoyed from the sidelines on a complimentary basis.
