Approximately 2,000 cyclists and 500 support staff, friends and family will be rolling through Montrose on June 15th as the 32nd annual Ride the Rockies stops in town for the night.
While the local high school and hotels will serve as accommodation for some (and others will be tent or RV camping) Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association (COPMOBA) is hoping to help match up around 50 riders with host homes for that night. This initiative is a great way to show the cyclists (many of which reside out of state and even out of country) the warm hospitality of Montrose locals.
Requirements include a bed and bathroom for the rider. The host and guest(s) will make direct arrangements regarding times and transportation from the RTR headquarters, which will be located at Montrose High School, to your home and back. Lodging proceeds will help support COPMOBA’s efforts to build and maintain trails in the Montrose area.
