Luxury in Australia's Barosa Valley

The historic Australian producer St Hugo has upped the ante when it comes to wine tourism in the region by unveiling a range of luxury experiences at its new home in the famed Barossa Valley.
With more than 150 wineries and cellar doors, the valley already has a thriving food scene, picturesque landscapes and luxury accommodation, but the new experiences, which includes tastings, fine dining, and private helicopter flights over the Barossa Valley, aim to take tourism in the region to the next level.
The restored 1850 ironstone building has an underground tasting room, a restaurant and a luxurious lounge.
St Hugo is offering three bespoke fine wine experiences that offer guests the chance to truly experience St Hugo and its Barossa home.
The ‘Legacy Wine Experience’ allows guests to explore the Barossa on a private helicopter flight before enjoying specially selected old vintages of St Hugo wines in the Hugo Gramp Room.
The ‘Prestige Wine Experience’ offers five-star accommodation in nearby Adelaide before travelling to the Barossa Valley for a private tour and an exquisite meal. This is followed by a tasting of St Hugo’s top wines. Guests are presented with a personalised bottle before they leave, while a selection of the best St Hugo vintages is delivered to their home.
Finally, the “immersive and uplifting” St Hugo ‘Sainthood’ experience includes an opportunity for visitors to travel to the St Hugo vineyard in Coonawarra by chartered plane to name their own a row of vines.
Upon their return guests will be led by St Hugo chief winemaker Daniel Swincer to make their own bespoke wine blend which will be stored in the St Hugo vault for safekeeping and maturation. It will be delivered to the guest’s home three years later.
There will also be more standard tourism offerings throughout the year, including tasting flights and dining experiences at St Hugo’s 50-seat fine-dining restaurant.
