Spring Pops-up in Hong Kong

The leaves may be changing color the world around as the first day of autumn landed this week, but in Hong Kong spring seems to be taking a firm hold on the city. Or at least at Aramni Privé and Aqua Spirit it is, where a new experiential pop-up, the Hanging Gardens of Kyoto, offers a bouquet of delectable cocktails which can be enjoyed in a lush, floral setting.
A collaboration between Aqua and Tanqueray no. TEN gin, the pop-up offers up six botanical scents at one of two scent stations. Guests can choose their favourite scent and have the mixologists mix it up with one of the five limited edition cocktails on offer:
The Botanist (HK$188) - reminiscent of freshly cut grass, with an earthy, minty finish, it mixes two shiso leaves withTanqueray No. TEN, pear sake, passion fruit, lime and matcha green tea syrup.
Garden Geisha (HK$188)- a barrel- aged Negroni infused with bamboo leaves combines Tanqueray No. TEN with plum sake, Aperol, absinthe and cherry wine. The result is a bitter-sweet taste to this classic aperitif
Bamboo Blossom (HK$198) - a fruity option, combining Tanqueray No. TEN, rhubarb, Aperol,
Kyoto Evening Mist (HK$208)- Elusively smoked – this hazy cocktail transports you to Japan, with its Burdock root & rose chip infused gin base, blended with tarragon, oregano & sweet vermouth finish, Tanqueray No. TEN, topped with tonic.
Undiscovered Treasure (HK$188 ) - A surprising mix of Tanqueray No. TEN cherry bark and hibiscus infused gin featuring a herbal hint of elderflower, cardamom and aromatic bay leaves.
A hidden swing is set within the flowers and vines which cascade from structures across the terrace bar. Certainly a setting that can allow you to forget all about the approaching winter!
The pop-up runs from now until 21 October and is also available at Aqua Shard in London.
