Oita Food Festival at Hotel Okura Macau

Until the end of March, Hotel Okura will be offering Japanese fare directly sourced from the Oita Prefecture. This region of Japan is known for its Japanese yellowtail which is cultivated in seawater with a strong tidal current and has kabosu mixed in with the feed to impart the fruit’s unique flavor and aroma to the fish. The region's famed Bungo beef has a rich flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture.

The Oita set lunch menu is priced at MOP 480+ per person or MOP 570+ with sake pairing. Dishes on the lunch menu include Ryukyu-style Marinated Horse Mackerel and Pacific Mackerel with Sweet Soy Sauce*; Kabosu Buri Yellowtail and Kabosu Flatfish Sashimi; Grilled Kabosu Buri Yellowtail and Shiitake Mushrooms with Teriyaki Sauce*; Deep-fried Hita Spring Vegetables; Sanko Village Pressed Fish Sushi and Usuki Vegetable Sushi*; Tenobe Dumpling Miso Soup*; and Oita Seasonal Fruits.

*These dishes are also available as part of the set dinner menu.

The Oita set dinner menu is priced at MOP 1,380+ per person or MOP 1,530+ with sake pairing. The dinner menu includes, but is not limited to, Kabosu Buri Yellowtail, Kabosu Flatfish and Squid with Kelp Sashimi; Clear Soup with Longtooth Grouper and Yuzu Citrus Sesame; Grilled Oita Bungo Beef Steak; Boiled Fish Liver and Takada Nabana Leaves with Vinegar Miso; and Dekopon Orange Jelly. Dinner is served with a digestif of Oyama Yumekoubou Aged Plum Sake.

Located on the 28th floor of Hotel Okura Macau, Yamazato affords nice views with pale wood furnishings combined with translucent screens to give the restaurant a tranquil and calming feel. Aside from the main dining room there is also a private room that can accommodate up to twelve guests and a sushi bar that allows guests to watch the chefs in action. Have a traditional tipple of sake with a selection that features over 60 different types.
