Sama-Sama Hotel Joins Worldhotels

It’s never an ideal situation, but overnight layovers are an inevitable part of travel these days. However, they don’t have to fill you with dread, particularly if there is a great hotel either in the airport or nearby.

Sama-Sama Hotel (a recent addition to the Worldhotels portfolio) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport is a convenient five-minute walk (or two-minute shuttle) over the sky bridge from the airport’s main terminal. The check-in counter is located in the airport itself and offers a 24-hour service that shuttle.

The 442-room hotel offers five-star accommodation across nine different room types (including four suites). Premier Floor guests have access to a lounge which offers a host of complimentary services including a daily cocktail hour, breakfast and use of the meeting room. And while all guests can utilize the free shuttle service between klia1 and the hotel, premier guests who are flying out of klia2 can take advantage of the shuttle service between that terminal and hotel as well (which is very great considering it is the home of AirAsia!).
Gastronomic delights include three dining establishments offering a buffet at Degrees, cocktails and live flight information at Palmz Lounge in the lobby and appetizers and entrees at Travellers’ Bar & Grill along with darts and snooker for layovers that aren’t quite long enough to justify a stay. Light snacks and drinks can also be ordered at the Pool Terrace Cafe.

Other facilities and amenities include a tennis court, a 24-hour health club which includes a gym, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna (ideal for middle-of-the-night arrivals). Take a dip in the outdoor pool or head to the Tamara Spa to ease away jet lag and soothe travel-weary muscles. And if your layover allows, the hotel is a 28 minute train ride away from the city.
