Having already received rave reviews from critics around the world, “Spectre,” which is quite possibly Daniel Craig’s final Bond film, will premier in Macau on Nov. 5. Can’t possibly wait that long to get your dose of Bond? Consider heading to Hong Kong to check out a few Bond events next week.
From Nov. 2 - 8 the Cat Street Gallery will host “All About Bond”, an exhibition which features the work of Terry O’Neill, a British photographer who has been photographing the iconic spy for over 50 years. “All About Bond” will showcase 14 images including signed editions by Roger Moore. There will be a VIP evening on Nov. 4 and cocktails and canapés on Nov. 5 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
If you can’t make it to the gallery, you can check it out between Nov. 4 and Dec. 10 at a very Bond-appropriate venue: The Peninsula Hong Kong. Fans will remember the iconic hotel featured in “The Man with the Golden Gun” over 40 years ago. To mark the relationship The Peninsula is offering a series of Bond-centric events to pay homage to the world’s favorite spy.
The hotel’s French restaurant Gaddi’s will host a VIP dinner on Nov. 4. Held in conjunction with Bollinger (Bond’s quaff of choice when he’s not sipping shaken martinis) the six-course dinner will feature Bond-inspired dishes paired with the Champagne, including a limited edition Bollinger Spectre.
