Who doesn't love a deal? (Especially now that summer is over and your incredibly indulgent vacation in the Maldives has your bank account looking a bit depleated!) We've sipped out way through the city and have rounded up our favorite happy hour deals across Macau, all conviently grouped by location which means less time trapsing from hotel to hotel and more time socializing - bottoms up!
MGM
Lion's Bar
While the bar has a happy hour every evening (they’re open), head there on Monday for “La Noche Latina” where you can practice your salsa, samba and flamenco moves.

ABA Bar
An impressive four-hour happy hour that starts right at five may make ABA Bar your new go-to post-work haunt. The relaxed vibe is perfect for a romantic pre-dinner cocktail too.

The Venetian
Bellini
While dark, windowless Bellini may not be the ideal venue for summer, the four-hour-long drink specials will make you forget about that in no time, especially on Wednesday evenings when ladies drink for free.

What: Buy one get one free for house spirits, beers, and wines
When: Sunday to Thursday from 5pm to 9pm; ladies’ night is Wednesdays from 11pm to 2am

Metropolis Bar
The bar inside Cafe Deco has a regular buy one, get one free offer on select cocktails, beer and wine. If you’re looking for something a little different, try a Colorado Bulldog, which is made with vodka, Kahlua, cream and Coke and sounds suspiciously similar to a white Russian. If you need a pick-me-up after a long week at work, try the Energizer, which is a combination of vodka, Blue Curacao, Red Bull and pineapple juice. The deal also includes spirits at the cheaper end of the scale so you can make your own cocktails. The Martinis can be hit and miss.

Spirito Bar
Breezy summer nights are perfect for a few alfresco glasses of wine. Spirito, the upstairs bar at Portofino, offers a spacious patio space to enjoy a nice glass of wine before an indulgent Italian meal.
What: Buy one, get one free on beer and standard spirits and 30% off wine by the glass.

Bar 12-21
If you follow us on Instagram or Facebook then you probably already know we’re big fans of Bar 12-21 inside Morton’s Steakhouse. Not only does the bar have a classic steakhouse vibe, but the service is friendly and attentive. The free filet mignon finger sandwiches don’t hurt either!

What: MOP50 Martinis, or Mortinis to give them their proper name, MOP 25 bottled beers, discounts on wine and free mini steak sandwiches during the first happy hour.

City of Dreams
SOHO
It’s the end of another week and you’re looking to let your hair down and have a little fun. SOHO in the City of Dreams is a good place to start as it has live entertainment, a lucky draw, and free-flow wine and beer. There is always one sparkling wine, a handful of whites and reds, as well as a few beers, including Hoegaarden.
If three hours isn’t enough for you, the same locations offer a buy one, get one free happy hour on select wines and beers from 9pm to 11pm the same night. The lucky draw takes place at 10pm (if you’re still standing).

Galaxy
Belon
We love this steak and grill restaurant located on the 31st floor of the Banyan Tree, so we were thrilled to hear about the great drink specials they have on every evening. The bar is at the entrance of the restaurant and features views of Zhuhai / Hengqin (so no casinos) in a bar with a sea theme. The live music starts 7pm, so you may want to plan on staying for dinner too.

JW Marriott
A premium people-watching locale, the lounge in the lobby of the JW Marriott not only offers a great happy hour deal, but great people watching along with it.

Cascades Lounge
While not as peaceful as some venues, the lounge located right off the Diamond Lobby in the Galaxy certainly makes for an excellent point to people watch. You can also see the fountain and its regular show. Stay past 8pm for buy one get one free cake offers.

The Ritz-Carlton Bar and Lounge
Gin and tonics are the name of the game at this bar - located on the 51st floor of the newest hotel in Macau - but it’s the aperitivo evenings that caught our attention. Each night offers a selection of different cocktails along with antipasti and cheese, food stations (oysters on Friday) and canapés that are brought around by waiters.

Rendezvous Lounge
The Lobby Lounge at Sofitel Macau changes their happy hour cocktails every month, so it’s one you’ll never get bored of. The location of Sofitel makes for great wandering around historical Macau after a few drinks too.

Xanadu Lounge
A fairly new promotion offered at the 24-hour lounge at Sands Macao is their four-hour happy hour. There is also live entertainment courtesy of the Honeyz, the Colombian All Stars, HRC, the Baccarat Babes, and not forgetting Merry G.

IFT Restaurant
If you’ve yet to visit this “testing” restaurant in Mong-Ha park, you should definitely plan on staying past happy hour to enjoy a meal. The staff are actually students from the tourism institute, but the service rivals many of the expensive hotel restaurants in Macao. The cheap prices, great food and quiet location are worth the relative trek.

Casa de Tapas
By far the longest happy hour in town, the buy one, get one free deal at this quaint restaurant in Old Taipa tempts us on a far too many occasions to enjoy a couple of post-lunch glasses of Cava. The patio on the upper level is great for enjoying the cooling breezes during the summer.
