If you read our recent article about what you can expect in terms of dining at the soon-to-open Studio City, then you already know what the hotel will add to the impressive list of dining outlets in Macau. (If you haven’t read it, be sure to catch up here.)
Also opening at Studio City will be a Pierre Hermé Paris Macarons & Chocolats boutique. We are of course thrilled that an outlet devoted to our two favorite desserts will open in Macau, but we can’t help wonder what will set Herme’s macarons apart.
Hermé, who is known for his interesting flavor combinations when it comes to macarons, has over 40 years of experience and isn’t afraid to break the mold, so to speak, when it comes to macarons. In the eighties Hermé began introducing bold new flavor combinations. Starting with rose and pistachio, he soon found himself getting increasingly creative. Some of his recent creations includes lime and basil; white truffle and hazelnut; and olive oil and vanilla with specks of actual olive.
Whilst Macau already has some high quality outlets for both macarons and chocolate, the opening of Pierre Hermé Paris Macarons & Chocolats will hopefully bring a few flavor combinations we have yet to see.
