If you've been hiding your skin under cashmere and wool and your feet have been restricted to those leather boots all winter, it's time to prep your body for spring. And what better way to do that than with an indulgent spa treatment? From luxurious facials and scrubs to relaxing massages, Macau’s disproportionate number of very high-end spas has got you covered.

The air at the Banyan Tree Spa is going to be filled with wonderful aromas of flowers this month as they offer a special rate on their Banyan Blooms treatment (MOP1,988 if you book before May 31st, MOP2,530 after). The two-hour treatment includes a 30-minute flower blossom brightener body scrub, followed by an hour-long herbal pouch massage and a 30-minute facial. Wind down with a cup of flower tea before you step back into the world.

Offering an indulgent 90-minute scrub, polish and massage, as well as an even more indulgent 120-minute treatment, the spa at Crown Hotels will leave you buffed, shined, and ready for that brand new sundress you’ve been eyeing. The 90-minute treatment (MOP980) will detoxify with a lavender body scrub, rejuvenate with a rosemary body polish and soothe with a holistic body massage. The 120-minute treatment (MOP1,760) starts with a body scrub and golden pearl body polish, followed by a firming mango and passion fruit yogurt body wrap and a 60-minute MDT5 (Molecular Dispersion Technology) facial.

Looking for a feng shui-approved spa treatment? Shine Spa at the Sheraton (read our review here) is offering an auspicious treatment that will leave you feeling scrubbed and slack. The “Elemental Spring Renewal” treatment (MOP1,900 + 5% tax) is available until April 20th and includes an essential oil foot bath, a 30-minute brown sugar or mother of pearl body scrub, and a 90-minute harmonizing massage which boosts circulation and relaxes the muscles by using a combination of energy point massage and Swedish techniques to apply 24-carat gold leaf oil. Guests will also receive a set of elemental essential oil rollers to bring home.
Spa treatments are available Tuesday to Friday from 11:30am to 11:30pm and Saturday to Monday from 10am to 11:30pm.

Until May, the Rock Spa at the Hard Rock is offering a “Spring Renewal” treatment that consists of a 60-minute aloe vera facial (MOP680++) that will hydrate and moisturize your skin (perfect if you overdid it on your first pool session of the season). The spa is also offering a 30-minute avocado body scrub (380++). Not just for eating (as delicious as they may be), avocados are also a great source of antioxidant carotenoids which help remove dead skin cells and give you a natural glow and soothed skin.

One of the newest (and flashiest) facials in Macau is the Diamond Utopia Advanced Anti-ageing Facial (MOP2,300++) at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental (read our review here). Created as a natural and less invasive alternative to cosmetic injections, the facial uses Gaylia Kristensen skin care products and a mask that contains diamond dust, which is enough to get our seal of approval. It is an absolute must for a fresh face this spring; after all, diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

Available through April, Altira’s Invigorating Spring treatment will rejuvenate and revitalize your dull and dry winter skin that you have been fretting over for the past few months. Start off with a body scrub of your choice and follow that with a soothing facial. Finally, ease away any remaining stress with a relaxing aromatic body massage. End the treatment with some herbal tea and refreshments.
