Oscar Season at Galaxy
A few of our favorite things are wine, food, and good movies. So imagine our delight when we were able to combine all three last week when we had the pleasure of attending a screening of "Birdman", the Oscar nominated film directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, at the UA Galaxy Cinema's director's club. The director's club offers moviegoers an intimate venue (ours sat 16) to munch and sip on a variety of snacks and drinks which are brought to your seat while watching the latest blockbuster. It wasn't our first time attending a film at the director's club but it had been a while. Purists may frown at the thought of eating and drinking while watching a movie, but for us it was sheer delight to combine our loves of gastronomy and cinema in very comfortable reclining sofa-style seats. In the lead-up to the Oscars (which will air on Monday February 23rd at 8am Macau/Hong Kong time) the cinema will show more Oscar-nominated films this week, including: "American Sniper," "Boyhood," "The Theory of Everything," "Whiplash," "Wild," "Still Alice," and "Big Hero 6."
